The Story
Built From a Love
of the Game
I'm Dylan, the founder of 3Woods Golf Sim. I'm not a golf pro — just your average golfer who's loved the game since I was young. I played local competitions back then, but like a lot of people, life got busy. Between working different jobs, long hours, and trying to juggle everything else, it became harder and harder to play consistently… even though I still loved the sport.
That's where the idea for 3Woods started. I'd played on a few simulator setups over the years and honestly, some of them just didn't feel right. Sure, it's fun hitting 280m drives all night, but the novelty wears off pretty quickly when you know it's not actually accurate. Then I practiced on a TrackMan setup for the first time and immediately knew — if I was ever going to do this properly, that was the standard.
The idea for 3Woods was one of those slightly crazy late-night thoughts that somehow wouldn't go away. Thankfully, I've got an incredibly supportive partner, because by this point she's probably heard about 2,000 different business ideas. But this one stuck.
I threw together a website expecting maybe a handful of people to be interested… and the response completely caught me off guard. The support from the local golf community was unreal, and it quickly turned from an idea into something real. Before long I was searching for a space, signing a lease at the start of December, and racing to get everything built and ready to open.
3Woods officially opened on March 14, 2026 — and it wouldn't exist without the support of the community that backed the idea from day one. The goal has always been simple — create a space that feels welcoming, realistic, and easy to fit into everyday life. Somewhere golfers can practice properly, play a quick round with mates, or just stay connected to a game they love, no matter how busy life gets.
